Bobath therapy is a special treatment concept for adults and children with disorders of the CNS (central nervous system). The concept is based on the ability of the central nervous system to adapt to stimuli and to learn.

It is important for the treatment to exploit the patient's abilities and to look at him holistically.
In adults, the Bobath therapy is mainly used for multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, after a stroke with paralysis, a craniocerebral trauma or other neurological diseases such as paraplegia.
The treatment includes, among other things, the stimulation and strengthening of paralyzed parts of the body as well as the training of improved balance reactions and body awareness.
